Dr. Javier Arturo Lozano is a graduate of UANL in Monterrey and has a specialty in Cosmetic Dentistry. He has 17 years of experience and has worked in Progreso since 1996 transforming the mouths and lifestyles of many people over this period of time.
He has recently been certified to do dental implants using the Bti Implant System®. This is a system for replacing teeth permanently.
Another state-of-the-art technology is the Zimmer® implant system.
His office is the first door you come to after passing through the Mexican customs. You don't have to go far to find an excellent dentist in Progreso. First and foremost is Dr. Lozano.
Not only does he work on improving your dental function and appearance he can refer you to a plastic surgeon when other facial esthetic procedures are required.
He is also the Vice President of El Colegio de Cirujanos Dentistas de Nvo. Progreso, A.C., the local dental society. He works to improve the profession of dentistry in the town.
Dr. Lozano's office is compact, but extremely well equipped. He has two workstations. One is equipped with a 2004 model chair and the other is 2005. Both stations are equipped identically with interoral cameras and LCD screens to allow the patient to see the conditions inside their mouths.

shine and wear. Developed by the same team of chemists and researchers
who created Herculite, Prodigy and Point 4, today’s standards for
high quality direct composite materials.
Light, heat and pressure produce the highest degree of material conversion
(98.5%), giving belleGlass superior strength and wear characteristics.
The opaceous dentin’s high filler content exceeds 87%, providing
exceptional strengths and shrinkage of less that 0.94%, which means better
margin integrity and less chance of microleakage.
The opalescent appearance more closely characterizes natural enamel like
no other composite based material. belleGlass restorations provide less
wear to opposing dentition than porcelain because they are not as hard
or abrasive. Studies from the University of Alabama have shown posterior
restorations maintain polish and luster for 8 years, making it smooth,

Laser therapy
Laser treatment is based on the principle of reversing the charge of the membrane of the cell. Pains are negatively charged and laser can reverse to a positive charge, thus eliminating much of the pain involved in several dental treatments.

Digital x-ray technology gives the dentist fantastic detail for whateve treatment he must do. One of the few in North Mexico is found here.
Dr. Lozano's staff of four makes for a very efficient visit. They are Alma, Mari Ana and Gabriela. All of the girls speak English with some proficiency, but Gabriela the receptionist has the best.
This patient's front tooth was badly fractured. The repair, shown after was accomplished by use of a root canal, a pin, and a crown that was designed to match surrounding teeth in color and shape.
Another patient with a somewhat less severe break had a bonding and teeth whitening to achieve a good repair and appearance.
This patient had gum disease and the front lower incisors on the bottom were loose. A permanent bridge was made to replace the teeth.
This patients teeth were misaligned and badly formed and miscolored. His mouth was completely restored with seventeen crowns.
The top incisors here were out of line and irregular so veneers were applied to make a beautiful smile.
This patient had crowns in the rear and 12 veneers on his front teeth which not improved his apearance it made his bite and chewing ability much more efficient.

Every new patient is greeted by a standard hygienic setup with gloves, instruments, tray and all surfaces completely wiped down with germicidal wipes. Every possible measure is used to assure 100% sterile conditions between patients for your safety. See the array of sterility supplies at right. All handpieces and syringes are sterilized using an autoclave and then sealed in airtight packaging.
