What is Acupunture?

Along with Herbology, Acupuncture is the most common part of Traditional Chnese Medicine and it is a Medical Speciality in the rest of the world. It involves the insertion of fine needles in very specific areas of our body in order to heal certain conditons without the side effects so common in traditional medicine. Acupuncture is fast becoming th emost accepted alternative medicine in the western world today.

How does it Work?

Our body functions due to a constant electrical signal from the brain to all major systems. That electrical flow is manifested on the skin's surface at certain areas which are called acupunture points where special fine needles are inserted painlessly to balance this energy.

The temperature difference (Thompson's Thermo-electric Effect) creates a movement of electrons and, at the same time, multiple healing substances (nero-chemicals like endorphines, dinorphines, dienkephalins) are released into our system, restoring the body with the proper balance neded for what we appreciate most--the pain free life.

When should I try it?

  • If you want a more natural approach to handle your ailments.
  • When other therapies fail to manage your condition(s).
  • Before you decide for a more drastic procedure like surgery.
  • If you have:
    • Arthritis,
    • Back pain
    • Headaches
    • Allergies
    • Sinus,
    • Colitis
    • Shingles,
    • Neuropathies
    • Stress & anxiety.
